Stelter joined the Oilers on the ice for the national anthems before the game against the San Jose Sharks. In the second period, he was featured on the jumbotron and received a standing ovation from the crowd at Rogers Place.
Stelter earned the Oilers player of the game helmet and vest after Edmonton's 5-2 win against San Jose.
"I know who the MVP was tonight, for sure," Oilers head coach Jay Woodcraft said of Stelter after the game. "Absolutely without a doubt. You should have seen our dressing room after the game. Man, this was the most juice I've seen in our dressing room in a long time. Tell you what, pretty special night."
