Erik Cernak suspended two games for elbowing

Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Erik Cernak has been suspended for two games, without pay, for elbowing Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Dahlin during NHL Game No. 365 in Tampa on Monday, Nov. 25, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 17:26 of the second period. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Cernak will forfeit $7,500.00. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
