Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin left the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second period Friday with an apparent arm injury.
Malkin was playing the puck behind the Blue Jackets' net when he was checked against the glass by defenseman Dalton Prout. Malkin let go of his stick with his left hand and held that arm to his side.

He went to the locker room, returned to play one shift, then left again and did not play the final 15:13 of the period.
Malkin had two assists to give him 58 points in 57 games this season. He returned Feb. 27 after missing 10 games with a lower-body injury.
