The Pittsburgh Penguins center is facing discipline for high-sticking/slashing Philadelphia Flyers forward Michael Raffl on Monday. The incident occurred at 15:06 of the third period during Pittsburgh's 4-1 win at Wells Fargo Center. Malkin received a match penalty. Raffl was not injured. The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: high sticking/slashing. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
