Fans initiate stick trades with Marner, Kaprizov thanks to funny signs

More than one stick trade went down in the NHL on Tuesday, and some had higher stakes than others.

Before the Minnesota Wild game against the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre, it was up to Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov to save one fan's relationship.
The fan held up a sign pleading with Kaprizov for a stick, otherwise his girlfriend wouldn't let him come home after the game.

Thanks to Kaprizov, it looks like that fan gets to sleep soundly at home with his girlfriend, and new Wild keepsake.
Across the border at Nationwide Arena, one Toronto Maple Leafs fan sized up Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner's stick to be worth a whole bag of Skittles. The young fan pressed a sign to the glass asking Marner to trade a stick for Skittles, and, well...

Not a bad price to pay to taste the rainbow.
