Jarome Iginla (RW) to Los Angeles Kings

The Kings have been extremely active leading up to the deadline, trading goaltender Peter Budaj to the Tampa Bay Lightning in a package for goalie Ben Bishop on Sunday and sending forward Dwight King to the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday. But landing Iginla from the Colorado Avalanche addresses the Kings' most-glaring need, a top-six forward who could revitalize center Anze Kopitar. The Kings have been mostly playing top center Jeff Carter alongside Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli since the latter returned from injury Feb. 4, so the table is set for Iginla to ride along with Kopitar (192nd in Yahoo) for a potential bounce-back in the final 19 games of the season. His competition is Dustin Brown and Marian Gaborik, and neither has been productive in recent seasons.
Iginla, 39, will likely see a dip in power-play production (eight of his 18 points have come on the power play), but could take off at even strength and no longer be a plus/minus liability upon joining a Stanley Cup Playoff contender. He will also reunite with coach Darryl Sutter, whom he played for when the Calgary Flames reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2004. Iginla has covered shots on goal (120), hits (79) and penalty minutes (54) well this season, and fared well after a deadline deal in 2013 with 11 points (five goals, six assists) in 13 games for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Prior to this season, Iginla had 22 (2015-16) and 29 goals (2014-15) in his previous two seasons in Colorado. If you have an expendable player in a 12-team league, it can't hurt to take a flier on Iginla.

Mark Streit (D) to Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins defense is banged-up as we approach the final month of the regular season, so the additions of Streit (from Philadelphia Flyers via Tampa Bay Lightning) and Ron Hainsey (from Carolina Hurricanes) should provide much-needed relief with Kris Letang (upper body), Trevor Daley (knee) and Olli Maatta (hand) sidelined. From a fantasy standpoint, the clear beneficiary from these injuries is Streit, who's been a power-play force even in his veteran years.
Streit scored 52 points, 30 on the power play, to finish 101st in Yahoo's performance-based rankings for the Flyers in 2014-15. He lost the coveted spot on Philadelphia's first man-advantage unit last season in favor of Shayne Gostisbehere, who was recalled during the veteran's injury absence and finished as a Calder Trophy finalist. The 39-year-old has been limited to 49 of a possible 62 games this season, but ranks 27th among defensemen in terms of points per 60 minutes (1.33) -- a higher rate than Rasmus Ristolainen (1.31), Oliver Ekman-Larsson (1.31) and Drew Doughty (1.19), among other fantasy-relevant defensemen. With usage on at least the second power-play unit down the stretch, Streit could be well worth owning in a 12-team format.
Thomas Vanek (LW/RW) to Florida Panthers

The Florida Panthers' top-six forward group is finally fully healthy, with Jonathan Huberdeau and Aleksander Barkov back from injuries alongside Jaromir Jagr, and Vincent Trocheck centering Jussi Jokinen and Reilly Smith. Vanek, acquired by the Panthers from the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday, joins fellow veteran Jokinen on the bubble for NHL.com's top 100 forward rankings. The best-case fantasy scenario for Vanek hinges on whether Panthers coach Tom Rowe would consider breaking up his trusted second line to replace either Smith or Jokinen with Vanek.
The 33-year-old wing totaled 38 points and 11 PPP in 48 games playing frequently on Detroit's first man-advantage unit, but likely won't keep up that pace in those situations the rest of the way. That said, he ranks fifth in 5-on-5 points per 60 minutes (2.80; minimum 500 minutes played), according to stats.hockeyanalysis.com. He could fit in well alongside Jonathan Marchessault and Nick Bjugstad on Florida's third line and second power-play unit, and thus has an outside chance to remain fantasy relevant in a 14- or 16-team league. The Panthers have 20 games left.

Drew Stafford (RW) to Boston Bruins
Yahoo rank: 510th; Ownership: 2 percent
The Bruins offense has thrived under Bruce Cassidy, scoring 33 goals in eight games (7-1-0) since their coaching change Feb. 7. The recent line combinations have been Patrice Bergeron centering Brad Marchand and David Backes, with David Pastrnak shifting to the second line with David Krejci and Peter Cehlarik. With Cehlarik being held without a point in six of his first seven NHL games, the more-experienced Stafford should get at least a chance to lock down second-line left-wing duties. Stafford had 21 goals, nine PPP and 187 SOG last season for the Winnipeg Jets, and has proven over the years that he can put together fantasy-relevant stretches of play. Deep-league fantasy owners should take a wait-and-see approach in Stafford's first game or two and add him if he lands with Krejci.
Jannik Hansen (RW) to San Jose Sharks
Yahoo rank: 483rd; Ownership: 1 percent
Hansen, a streaky player through the years with the Vancouver Canucks, latches onto the defending Western Conference champions ahead of what could be another long postseason run. Hansen has never put together a full season of fantasy relevance but had his moments last season, when he scored a career-high 22 goals and was plus-16 to finish 237th in Yahoo. The Danish forward has spent his entire NHL career with the Canucks, but now enters a crowded forward situation as a true fantasy wild card. He could end up being anything from a fourth-line reinforcement to a first-line sparkplug.
He saw occasional time alongside Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin on the first line, so don't rule out at least a trial alongside either Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski on the first line or Logan Couture on the second line. Hansen has been productive when healthy this season with 13 points (six goals, seven assists), a plus-2, 56 SOG and 20 hits in 28 games. For what it's worth, Hansen has the same 5-on-5 points-per-60 average (1.70) as Mikko Koivu, Backes and Derick Brassard.
