TRENDING UP

Keith Kinkaid, NJD -- The New Jersey Devils are 3-1-1 in their past five games and Kinkaid is responsible for all three of the wins. He allowed two goals in a 5-2 win against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday and has allowed a total of seven goals in his past four games, gaining a point in each (3-0-1). Kinkaid clearly gives the Devils a better chance to win right now than Cory Schneider, who doesn't have a win since Dec. 2017 (0-13-4).
Calvin Petersen, LAK -- Despite allowing six goals on 31 shots and getting pulled in the third period of a 7-3 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday, Petersen, the Los Angeles Kings' fourth-string goalie has played well the past week. He's had a SV% of at least .930 in three of five appearances and is a good streaming option. The Kings could turn to the veteran Peter Budaj in their next game, but this is a situation worth monitoring as Jonathan Quick and Jack Campbell recover from injury.

TRENDING DOWN

Roberto Luongo, FLA -- The 39-year-old goalie left his latest start, against the Carolina Panthers on Saturday, with another injury. Before that, Luongo allowed 16 goals in his previous three starts, going 0-3-0 for the Florida Panthers. Between his age, injury concern and inconsistency, it will be hard to count on Luongo from here on out. But backup James Reimer has done nothing to show he deserves more playing time. UPDATE: Luongo left the game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday with a lower-body injury.
Carey Price, MTL -- The Montreal Canadiens goalie has not had a good season and likely is only on fantasy rosters because of his name. However, the fact is Price isn't the Price of old. He's allowed five goals in back-to-back starts and has allowed at least three goals in 10 of 16 starts. Price has a 3.17 GAA and .895 SV% and can't be trusted right now. Trading him before his value declines even more is the suggested approach.
