Forsberg is one of six Predators out week to week, including forwards Matt Duchene and Brad Richardson, and defensemen Mark Borowiecki, Ryan Ellis and Luca Sbisa.
Coach Jon Hynes said Thursday the Predators have been able to overcome the injuries to this point thanks to the depth they have in the organization.
"I think one of the big benefits is that there's a lot of similarities as to how we play in the [American Hockey League] and the NHL so guys have a lot of comfort level with systematic and tactical changes that we want to have," Hynes said. "It's nice when you're in a situation where you have guys that are contributing and are NHL-ready to be able to contribute, and that's important to have depth. I think the depth has really helped us get through it, and we've always had a 'next man up' mentality. I give the players a lot of credit."
Duchene (lower body) last played March 4 and has missed 14 games. He has scored eight points (three goals, five assists) in 23 games.
Richardson (lower body) last played March 9 and has been out for 11 games. He has scored three points (one goal, two assists) in 12 games.
Borowiecki (upper body) last played March 11 and has been sidelined for 10 games. He has one assist in 22 games.

The Predators (19-17-1), who have won six games in a row and are tied with the Chicago Blackhawks for fourth in the eight-team Discover Central Division, host the Dallas Stars on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; BSSO, BSSW, NHL.TV). The top four teams will make the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"There's no excuses," Hynes said. "It's whoever is going to be in is going to play and the guys who are in have to play well. I guess the last thing I would say to that is when you play with structure and you play with the work ethic you need, it's easy to plug and play because everyone is on the same page."
