NEW YORK – Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil has been suspended for three games, without pay, for boarding Seattle Kraken defenseman Vince Dunn during NHL Game No. 980 in Calgary on Monday, March 4, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 13:39 of the third period. Pospisil was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for checking from behind.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, Pospisil will forfeit $12,109.38. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
