CHICAGO -- Aleksander Barkov had a goal and two assists for the Florida Panthers in a 5-2 victory against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Sunday.

Sergei Bobrovsky made 22 saves for the Panthers (35-10-5), who won all three games of their road trip following the All-Star break and have won seven of their past eight.
Jonathan Huberdeau had two assists for Florida, extending his point streak to seven games (one goal, 11 assists). He leads the NHL with 53 assists.
"All credit to the boys, taking care of their bodies throughout the break," said defenseman MacKenzie Weegar, who scored a third-period goal, one of three by Panthers defensemen. "Just coming prepared and focused for a big road trip -- Carolina, Minnesota and Chicago, all tough teams to play against. I'm really happy to see that we're becoming a strong road team."

Patrick Kane scored a goal and had an assist, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 20 saves for the Blackhawks (18-26-8), who are 0-6-1 in their past seven home games.
"Yes, it's hard," Chicago defenseman Connor Murphy said. "Losing [stinks], no matter where it is, but especially at home. We're still having good crowds, and people are coming out and supporting us. We really appreciate them sticking with us on this homestand and coming out and trying to get us over the hump. We'll keep working toward that, and we'll have to keep taking positives and working on some of the negatives and mistakes we've been making."
Aaron Ekblad made it 1-0 Panthers at 16:33 of the first period. The defenseman moved in from the right point to the left face-off circle and scored off a cross-ice pass from Sam Reinhart.
Kane tied the game at 1-1 at 19:28 when he scored from behind the goal line on the left wing. The sharp-angled shot deflected in off the stick of Bobrovsky. The play happened after defenseman Jake McCabe kept the puck in the point and sent it down the board.

FLA@CHI: Kane ties game for Blackhawks in 2nd

The Blackhawks outshot the Panthers 11-3 in the first period.
Brandon Montour gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead at 7:26 of the second period when he took a drop pass from Barkov in the high slot and shot it in off the post.
"There's a couple guys in front," Montour said. "I don't think [Fleury] was expecting it. I had a little bit of room. I took a quick wrister, and from what I saw, I don't think he saw it. It hit the post -- luckily for that one."
Weegar scored 50 seconds into the third period for a 3-1 Panthers lead. Carter Verhaeghe fed the puck to Weegar in the slot, and the shot deflected off the stick of Kirby Dach.
Caleb Jones brought Chicago to within 3-2 at 12:38 with a shot from the left circle on the power play. Kane got an assist on the goal, giving him 720 in the NHL and moving him past Denis Savard into second place in Blackhawks history.
Barkov scored an empty-net goal at 18:12 to make it 4-2, and Anton Lundell scored into an empty net at 18:51 for the 5-2 final.
"It was a good end to the road trip," Florida coach Andrew Brunette said. "It wasn't a pretty game, but we did enough to get a win. I think we've managed the game pretty well on the road of late. I thought at different times we got a little 'fire-wagony.' We have so much skill and can play at such a high level. Sometimes we get a little carried away. I think we did an excellent job this whole trip of playing road hockey, and whatever they give us, we're taking. We're not forcing issues. It's kind of grinding through it. In some of these games it wasn't maybe out best stretch of hockey, but we found ways to score and do the right things."

The Blackhawks do not play again until Friday, when their six-game homestand continues against the New Jersey Devils.
"I think we fared pretty good with the challenge," Blackhawks coach Derek King said. "We hung in there with them. The third period, they came and they were like, 'OK, enough with this.' They started playing. But still, we were in it, we got back, we creeped back in. At least we kept it to the point where we could get our goalie out. It would've been nice to see us eat the puck in our skates or get on the forecheck a little harder and not back off. That's stuff we'll talk about."
NOTES: Huberdeau's 70 points (17 goals, 53 assists) are the most by a Panthers player through 50 games in a season. … McCabe (lower-body injury) did not play after the second period.
