The Florida Panthers signed center Aleksander Barkov to a six-year, $35.4 million contract extension on Monday, according to the Miami Herald. The Panthers selected Barkov with the second pick in the 2013 NHL Draft.The 20-year-old has 30 points (12 goals, 18 assists) in 38 games this season for the Panthers, and 90 points in 163 NHL games. Florida (28-15-5) leads the Atlantic Division with 61 points and has won 14 of its past 18 games (14-3-1).
