"It was really cool to ride that Lamborghini around," Hart said. "Never driven one before so that was cool. Drove my friends everywhere, and my family. They loved it. It was really cool to drive it and put on a few kilometers that week."
Hart won the privilege of driving the Lamborghini as payoff for a wager made with Jarry last summer while they were
working out together
. The winner of what they called the Sherwood Park Bowl would get free use of the $260,000 vehicle courtesy of a friend that is co-owner of Sherwood Motorcars, a luxury and exotic car dealership in Sherwood Park, Alberta, about 10 miles east of Edmonton.
Hart went 3-1-0 in four games he played opposite Jarry, who was 1-2-1.
"There's not many cars like that around so it would be pretty cool," Jarry said in March. "It'd be even better showing up to workouts driving it and knowing the other guy lost. Puts a little extra on the line."
What wasn't as cool for Jarry was handing the keys to Hart at the dealership.
"Had a good battle with him throughout the year and ended up winning the head-to-head matchup," Hart said. "It was cool to get the keys from him from Sherwood Motors there."
No word if they made another wager based on this season's results. The Flyers and Penguins play the first of their four games against each other this season Nov. 4 in Pittsburgh.
