CBJ@LAK: Kopitar, Byfield combine for a goal in 2nd

Los Angeles Kings forward Quinton Byfield had to so something special with his
mini-me in the crowd
.

Byfield set up teammate Anze Kopitar with a redirected, no-look, between-the-legs pass for a goal against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday.
Byfield was two moves ahead of everyone, it seemed, barely touching a Mikey Anderson pass in absolutely perfect fashion and sending it to a streaking Kopitar.
The pass was so fast yet perfect that Kopitar barely got a piece of the puck and it still found the back of the net.
This one is worth at least a few looks.
More stunning assists from the 2022-23 season:
- Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras just will no stop with the eye-popping plays. Here he goes out
in front and through his own legs
before putting one on the tape to Kevin Shattenkirk.
- Through the crease for an assist is nice but a
no-look pass through the crease
? No problem for New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider in his slick helper to Mika Zibanejad
- New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes somehow got pinned against the boards on one knee and still
slipped a backhanded, no look assist
to Dougie Hamilton for a game-winning overtime goal.
- Alex Ovechkin may be known for scoring goals but his sick,
between-the-legs assist
to Evgeny Kuznetsov is something to see.
- Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins
goes five-hole for assist
on Leon Draisaitl's goal.
- Flyers forward Travis Konecny got turned around and still
made a beautiful no-look pass
to Tony DeAngelo for a goal.
