The Philadelphia Flyers showed some school spirit prior to their game against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday.

Flyers players arrived at Wells Fargo Center wearing jerseys of local high school hockey teams competing in the 2022 Flyers Cup Scholastic Championships.

The Flyers host the annual high school tournament that features teams from eastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware. The tournament starts this month.
Claude Giroux gave a special shoutout to Flyers player development coach Nick Schultz's son, Jake, wearing his St. Joseph's Prep jersey. Jake is a freshman at the school who are one of the teams competing in the cup.

Everyone got an A for effort.
