Sharks Grier video

Mike Grier is feeling the love from his former San Jose Sharks teammates all around the world.

Dan Boyle, Mark Smith, Brian Boucher and Ryane Clowe all made special video messages congratulating Grier on
being named the Sharks general manager on Tuesday.
Grier is the first Black general manager in NHL history.
Boyle started his video message off with a joke.
"You know you are getting old when half the GMs in the league were your teammates at some point," Boyle said in a Twitter video posted by the Sharks. "Just wanted to congratulate you. I think the Sharks are in good hands with you."
Smith sent his message all the way from Cusco, Peru.
"I just want to give you a big congratulations," Smith said standing next to a decorated alpaca. "I can't wait to see you back in teal and I look forward to this new chapter. Go Sharks."

Boucher called Grier "one of my favorite teammates of all time" and told Sharks fans "you're getting one of the best here."
Clowe ended the thread with a sweet message.
"I know you will do a great job," Clowe said. "It was a blast working with you the last year. I'm excited for you and your family to get out in San Jose. I know you are going to do great."
