Udonis split Panthers

For their first home game of the Eastern Conference Second Round, the Florida Panthers brought in the OG they call UD.

Miami Heat center and Florida sports lifer Udonis Haslem pounded the Panthers drum ahead of Game 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday.

Haslem signed with the Heat as an undrafted free agent back in 2003. He did so after a standout four-year career at the University of Florida where he attended after graduating Miami Senior High School.

Haslem, now 42-years old, is in his 20th season with the Heat. He was a mainstay in the Miami rotation for years but has not played regularly since the 2014-15 season. He has only appeared in 35 games in the past five seasons combined, but he has taken on a valuable player emeritus leadership role for the NBA franchise. And for that he is beloved by Heat and all South Florida sports fans.

The Heat may have put it best when they said Haslem was "always reppin' the home team."

Haslem got the crowd going by leading the "Let's Go Panthers!" chant at FLA Live Arena while wearing a home red No. 10 Anthony Duclair jersey.

He was also joined at the game by some Heat teammates, as well as a few members of the Dolphins.
