Henri Jokiharju agreed to terms on a three-year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old defenseman was taken by the Blackhawks with the No. 29 pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.

Jokiharju finished his second season with Portland of the Western Hockey League, when he had 71 points (12 goals, 59 assists) in 63 games and was named to the Western Conference Second All-Star Team. His 71 points were the most by a Portland defenseman since 1993-94. He tied for third among WHL defensemen in points and tied for second in assists.
In two seasons with Portland, Jokiharju has 119 points (21 goals, 98 assists) in 134 regular-season games. The Oulu, Finland, native also had eight points (three goals, five assists) in 12 postseason games to help Portland reach the second round of the WHL playoffs.
Jokiharju also represented Finland at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship and had four points (two goals, two assists) in five games. He also helped Finland win the gold medal at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship, finishing with three assists in seven games.
