Henrik Lundqvist didn't go to Washington D.C. to talk about the past. But then it popped up on him out of nowhere on Monday.

The new Washington Capitals goalie was treated to a clip of his new teammate, Alex Ovechkin, scoring his 100th career goal. The team shared a clip of the score because it happened on this date, October 12, back in 2007.
But then there was the small matter of who it was scored on. That would be Lundqvist during his tenure with the New York Rangers.
Lundqvist, who spent 15 seasons in New York and recently agreed to a buyout of the final year of his contract before signing a one-year, $1.5 million deal with the Capitals, joked about the clip on Twitter.

Ovechkin has 35 career goals against Lundqvist's ex-team, tied for the seventh-most scored against any opponent. He also scored 13 more against Lundqvist and the Rangers in 33 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
