Wayne Gretzky, Jarri Kurri and Mark Messier will be among the players to suit up for the Edmonton Oilers in their alumni game against the Winnipeg Jets one day prior to the 2016 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg on Oct. 23.
Teemu Selanne, Bob Essensa and Dale Hawerchuk will be among the players who will dress for the Jets.
The Jets won three World Hockey Association titles, including the final one in 1979, when they defeated the Oilers in six games. The uniforms that will be worn at the Heritage Classic were inspired by each team's tenure in the WHA prior to entering the NHL.

Gretzky said goalie Grant Fuhr, who won the Stanley Cup five times with the Oilers, will be at the event but won't play in the game.
"[Fuhr] can't play anymore, his knees are too bad, but he'll be there. We wouldn't go if he wasn't there," Gretzky told NHL.com. "That's the one thing about our group, we all go together. If one guy can't go, pretty much nobody goes. It's such a close group, so close knit."
