Justin Williams has played his final Game 7.
The Carolina Hurricanes forward, who played 19 NHL seasons, won three Stanley Cup titles and earned the reputation of "Mr. Game 7"
announced his retirement on Thursday

On social media, the hockey world threw bouquets at the 38-year-old who also played for the Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and Washington Capitals in addition to the Hurricanes.
His most recent team, which he was captain of for the 2018-19 season, put together a beautiful tribute video that's worth watching.

They also shared a pretty cool photo.

Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov has some nice things to say about his mentor.

Plenty of his former teammates paid tribute via social media as well including Capitals forward Tom Wilson and Kings forward Anze Kopitar.

Announcer John Forslund, the voice of the Hurricanes, also shared his thoughts on Williams.

Williams had 797 points (320 goals, 477 assists) over his 19 seasons. His 15 points in Game 7s (7 goals, 8 assists) are an NHL record.
