Burns, Staal prove experts at Hurricanes throwback toy guessing game

Brent Burns and Jordan Staal just have a great feel for the game. And not just hockey.

The Carolina Hurricanes teammates proved they have good hands off the ice as well, going a perfect 4-for-4 in the team's "What's in the Toy Box?" holiday game.

The game consisted of a throwback toy being placed in a box so the players could not see it, having to guess what it was only by its feel.

The four toys - an Etch-A-Sketch, rubber snakes, Play Doh and Barrel of Monkeys - were quickly identified by the pair. Slight edge to Burns because the name of the Etch-A-Sketch escaped Staal momentarily.

Staal was the first to ID the rubber snake, which prompted a joke from Burns, an avid outdoorsman.

"You haven't gotten bit yet, so that's a good thing," Burns laughed.

Can't slip an old-school toy past this duo.
