Dougie pigs

Among the many that will miss Dougie Hamilton in Raleigh are couple of really sad pigs.

Hamilton agreed to a seven-year, $63-million contract with the New Jersey Devils on July 28 after three seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, and was a fan favorite, but he was perhaps most beloved by Stormy the team's official mascot and Hamilton the therapy pig and team's unofficial mascot.
As if the sweet photos in the goodbye posts from both weren't touching enough, their words were sure to leave everyone in shambles.
Stormy accompanied a small handful of his customary pregame photos with the defenseman with a quote, "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Best friends forever."

Meanwhile, Hamilton the pig,
who was named
before the Hurricanes acquired the defenseman, was a little more direct, saying the departure was a, "Dagger to my piggy heart. Thanks for the memories Ham man."

Well, he may have moved onto a new team and city, but it's clear Dougie will always have pals in North Carolina.
