Brind'Amour's son Skyler rings Hurricanes siren before overtime winner

Skyler, forward on NCAA champion Quinnipiac, brings some magic to dad's team

The Carolina Hurricanes needed an overtime winner for a 3-2 victory so they went to a guy who knew a little something about that before the extra period.

Skyler Brind'Amour, a forward on the 2023 NCAA Men's Hockey Champion Quinnipiac Bobcats and son of Hurricanes coach Rod Brind'Amour, rang the siren at PNC Arena prior to overtime.

You may remember back in April, Skyler Brind'Amour's squad won the NCAA title with a 3-2 overtime victory against the University of Minnesota,

prompting Rod Brind'Amour to put Bobcats coach Rand Pecknold in a giant bear hug.

On Thursday, the younger Brind'Amour returned the favor supporting his dad. The siren ring came right before Jesper Fast's series-clinching, overtime goal put the Hurricanes into the Eastern Conference Final.
