Young Islanders fan adorably serenades Bailey in viral video

Josh Bailey has the biggest little fan around in Hudson Reihl.

A video of the young fan serenading the New York Islanders forward with "Hey! Josh Bailey" went viral Sunday after their third straight Stanley Cup Playoff win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Islanders fans have been singing "Hey! Josh Bailey," to the tune of DJ Otzi's "Hey Baby (If You'll be My Girl)" a popular dance remix of the 1962 Bruce Channel pop hit "Hey! Baby," for years.
Now, there is one more voice in the familiar chorus.
Hudson's mom, Kristina, taught Hudson the song after New York's 4-1 win in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference First Round. She then recorded him singing it after she and her husband, Matt, heard the boy repeating it during dinner.
Hudson and Bailey do have a history. The boy attended his first Islanders game at three months old at PNC Arena against the Carolina Hurricanes. The family brought a sign that said 'My First Islanders Game' and it caught Bailey's attention.
"Josh Bailey skated right over and gave me a puck and said 'it's for the baby,'" Kristina told NHL.com.
So it was only natural that Hudson would get in on the song eventually.
"I showed him the a little video of Josh Bailey and told him that he gave him the puck, because he plays with the puck in his room, and then I just sang him the song, and he kind of started back and goes 'Hey! Josh Bailey.'" Kristina told NHL.com. "He catches onto things pretty easily, and he likes to sing."
The couple sent a picture of themselves holding the souvenir to the Islanders in hopes that Bailey would sign it, and sure enough an autographed picture arrived at their home a few days later.

"I just thought he was a real class act and a top-notch person," Kristina said.
Kristina now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina but is originally from Bellmore, New York. Kristina and her dad have watched the Islanders play in 10 different NHL arenas, with the goal of making it to every rinks.
If all progresses as planned, Hudson will be joining them in the future.
"When my husband put him to sleep [Sunday], he wanted to read his little hockey colors book, and he got to the Islanders page and all of a sudden I hear him say 'Let's go Islanders," Kristina said. "When I watch the games, I get a little excited and he was jumping around with me, and he was having a great time and when he sees the logo. He knows."
