Islanders host 'Nickelodeon Night,' will raffle SpongeBob goalie mask

You probably won't play goalie in the NHL, but you can still have the coolest goalie helmet anywhere thanks to the New York Islanders.

The Islanders are raffling off a one-of-a-kind "SpongeBob SquarePants" goalie mask in conjunction with Nickelodeon Night for their game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Islanders flooded social media with references for nostalgic fans of Nick classics like "Rocket Power," "Aaah!!! Real Monsters" and "Hey Arnold" throughout their game against the Flyers. Fans could even use an Instagram filter to become one of the "Fairly Oddparents."

Highlights from the game were dressed up with slime effects. Fans following along on the Home Turf app were able to participate in trivia games and vote in live polls.

Some iconic Nick characters signified the start of a power play and each period.

Some great fun was had, but the piece de resistance was the adult-sized goalie mask that featured SpongeBob, Patrick Star and the Islanders logo that
