Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel returned to KeyBank Center for the first time since being traded from the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday and the team played video tribute for him.

Intercut with some of Eichel's more dazzling goals over six seasons with the Sabres were some highlights from his work in the community, specifically Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Patients read letters to him and workers from Roswell Park appeared in the clip to thank him for his years of donations.

"On behalf of our nurses, our patients, our physicians, our employees, everyone here at Roswell Park, we thank you Jack Eichel for everything that you've done for us. Thank you," said Candace S. Johnson, PhD, president and CEO of Roswell Park, in the video. "We couldn't do what we do without your incredible support."
Eichel's relationship with the center, from
recognizing Nurse's Week
with bouquets of flowers to
providing inspiration
where he can to patients, has been well documented.
He also helped
supply 5,000 masks
for Western New York area hospitals during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Eichel's mother, Anne, is a nurse at Boston Medical Center.
