NEW YORK – Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for cross-checking Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand during NHL Game No. 993 in Boston on Thursday, March 7, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 3:54 of the first period.
The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
