Jake Walman put on his dancing skates for an epic overtime celebration.
The defenseman performed the viral "Griddy" dance after scoring to complete the Detroit Red Wings' 5-4 comeback victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday. Walman alternated tapping his skates while swinging his arms back and forth.
The dance is a popular celebration among NFL players after scoring a touchdown. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson brought the viral dance to the NFL in 2020. Time will tell if Walman just started the NHL's next celebration trend.
