Jaromir Jagr became the sixth player in NHL history to have 1,100 assists when he had two in the first period Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings. He joins Wayne Gretzky, Ron Francis, Mark Messier, Ray Bourque and Paul Coffey.
The Florida Panthers forward entered the game with 1,099 and now has 1,101 in the NHL. Jagr has 738 goals and 1,839 points in 1,598 NHL games with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils and Panthers.
