NEW YORK - Dallas Stars left wing Jason Robertson, Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey and New York Islanders goaltender Ilya Sorokin have been named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Nov. 27.

FIRST STAR - JASON ROBERTSON, LW, DALLAS STARS

Robertson topped the NHL with six goals in four contests (6-2-8) to move into first place in the Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy race and guide the Central Division-leading Stars (12-6-4, 28 points) to a 1-1-2 week. He scored twice, including the tying goal with 25.8 seconds remaining in regulation, in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Colorado Avalanche Nov. 21. Robertson potted two more goals in a 6-4 win against the Chicago Blackhawks Nov. 23. He then recorded 2-1-3, highlighted by two goals in the final 2:12 of regulation to force overtime, in a 5-4 loss to the Winnipeg Jets Nov. 25. In doing so, Robertson became the third different player in Stars/North Stars history to register three consecutive multi-goal outings, following Dino Ciccarelli (3x) and Mike Modano (1x). Robertson finished the week with an assist on Dallas' lone goal in a 4-1 loss to the Avalanche Nov. 26, extending his point streak to a career-high 15 games dating to Oct. 27 (16-12-28). The 23-year-old Robertson, who compiled 41 goals in 2021-22 after placing second in Calder Memorial Trophy voting in 2020-21, has played in 22 total games this season, sitting among the League leaders in goals (1st; 18), points (2nd; 35) and shots on goal (6th; 96).

He posted his first career multi-goal game (440 GP) with two tallies, including his second career overtime winner, in a 4-3 triumph against the Carolina Hurricanes Nov. 21. Morrissey assisted on Winnipeg's lone goal in a 6-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild Nov. 23 before again scoring in overtime in a 5-4 victory against the Dallas Stars Nov. 25. He capped the week with three assists, the second such performance of his career (also Dec. 21, 2019 at MIN), in a 7-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks Nov. 27. The 27-year-old Morrissey, who leads the Jets in scoring, has skated in 20 total contests this season, placing among the top NHL defensemen in overtime goals (t-1st; 2), game-winning goals (t-1st; 3), assists (3rd; 19) and points (4th; 23).
