Swayman surprises youth hockey players at University of Maine camp

No surprise here, but the University of Maine loves Jeremy Swayman.

During the school’s summer hockey camp program, the Boston Bruins goalie (and former goalie at the University of Maine) made a surprise virtual appearance to speak to the youth campers, and it didn’t take long for the young hockey players to show their appreciation for the goalie.

Cheers of “Swayman! Swayman! Swayman!” broke out in the auditorium as Swayman couldn’t help but crack a smile.

Swayman played three years with the University of Maine, from 2017-2019, earning the Mike Richter Award during the 2019-20 season for the top collegiate goaltender, as well as the Hockey East Player of the Year award that year.

He went to the Bruins after that season to begin his professional career, but clearly has not forgotten his roots.
