Jimmy Fallon made a deal with the devil and lost.
Fallon got pied in the face by the New Jersey Devils mascot on "The Tonight Show" on Sunday to settle a bet they made on New Jersey's win against the New York Rangers last week. Watch: NJ Devil throws a pie at Jimmy Fallon's face Fallon is a notorious Rangers fan, who regularly attends home games at Madison Square Garden. NJ Devil, the demonic Devils mascot, arranged the wager with Fallon via Twitter before New Jersey's first game against its local rival Thursday.
New Jersey defeated New York 5-2 at Prudential Center for its first win of the season. Fallon put on a Mika Zibanejad jersey over his suit, then NJ Devil hit him in the face with a pie and danced in glorious victory. The Rangers will next play the Devils on Nov. 30, again in Newark. We'll see if Fallon can get revenge on his new nemesis then.
