The New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks honored late former teammate Jimmy Hayes on Friday. Hayes[died at age 31](https://www.nhl.com/news/former-nhl-player-jimmy-hayes-dies-at-31/c-326010108)in August.Hayes played seven seasons with the Blackhawks, Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins and Devils. His final NHL season was 2017-18 with the Devils.The team wore No. 10 jerseys with "Broadway," Hayes' nickname, written across the nameplate. Jimmy's brother, Kevin Hayes, is a member of the Flyers but currently out of the lineup due to an abdominal injury.Flyers players had skates with "JRH" and a shamrock printed on one skate and "Be Like Jimmy" with a heart on the other.
