Pavelski, who along with Donskoi did not travel to Denver, remains day to day with an undisclosed injury sustained during the third period of Game 7 against the Vegas Golden Knights, when the center was cross-checked by Golden Knights center Cody Eakin and then run into by Vegas center Paul Stastny, which knocked an off-balance Pavelski to the ice. He hit his head and had to be helped to the dressing room.
Pavelski, the Sharks captain, had four points (two goals, two assists) against the Golden Knights and 64 points (38 goals, 26 assists) in 75 regular-season games.
Donskoi, also out with an undisclosed injury, has not played since Game 6 of the first round. The forward had no points in three games against the Golden Knights after having an NHL career-high 37 points (14 goals, 23 assists) in 80 regular-season games.
Center Gustav Nyquist will be in the Sharks lineup after flying home to be with his wife after the birth of their child.
Avalanche forward Matt Calvert will not play because of an upper-body injury, sustained when he was hit by Sharks defenseman Brent Burns during Colorado's 4-3 win in Game 2 on Sunday.
