Daccord with Powers

Joey Daccord will always remember where he came from.

The Seattle Kraken goalie made the most of the team's road trip to Arizona, stopping to visit his old stomping grounds at the Arizona State University hockey facility. Daccord spent three seasons as the Sun Devils' goalie before departing for the NHL.
Daccord became the first Arizona State player to sign an NHL entry-level contract and play in an NHL game when he debuted for the Ottawa Senators in 2019, according to the university's website.
The Kraken selected Daccord from the Senators in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft.
The 26-year-old goalie has spent much of the season with Coachella Valley, the Kraken's American Hockey League affiliate, but was recalled Sunday on an emergency basis and traveled to Arizona with the team.
His former coach at ASU, Greg Powers, who still coaches at the university, posted a photo of the two of them at the facility.

Daccord quote tweeted the post to share his own thoughts on the visit.

Clearly a proud Sun Devil for life.
