Oilers forward Connor McDavid shared his thoughts on the new addition to the locker room after the unveiling and a special memory from his rookie season when he broke his collarbone.
"Joe was a special person," McDavid said. "He meant a lot to the organization, the players. I think probably my favorite Mosser story would be, I remember my first year I broke my collarbone, I was just a young kid, and being in the locker room and being really upset and him just coming up and he obviously had no idea the circumstances, he just knows something's wrong and he just gave me a little pat on the back, and that was it.
"We certainly miss him a lot and to have a little statue there is a great reminder for us as players and everyone on the staff. The whole city misses him. We miss him as players and today's a special day to unveil that statue."
Moss was also inducted into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2015. The Oilers previously honored him by wearing Moss jerseys during warmups and with a

on Jan. 13 to open the season.
