Jordan Greenway was traded to the Buffalo Sabres by the Minnesota Wild on Friday.

Minnesota received a second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, which Buffalo previously acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights, and a fifth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft.
Greenway is in the first season of a three-year contract he signed with the Wild on Jan. 31, 2022, and can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2024-25 season.
The 26-year-old forward has seven points (two goals, five assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 45 games this season.

Selected by the Wild in the second round (No. 50) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Greenway has 119 points (38 goals, 81 assists) in 317 regular-season games and seven points (three goals, four assists) in 22 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
The Sabres (31-25-4) are four points behind the New York Islanders for the second wild card into the playoffs from the Eastern Conference with four games in hand.

from the Detroit Red Wings in a trade for a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and defenseman John Klingberg in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks.
They acquired forward Marcus Johansson from the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and forward Gustav Nyquist from the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday.
