Julien Gauthier signed a two-year contract with the New York Islanders on Wednesday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old forward had 14 points (nine goals, five assists) in 57 games for the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators last season. The first-round pick (No. 21) of the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2016 NHL Draft has 32 points (14 goals, 18 assists) in 153 games for the Hurricanes, Rangers and Senators, and played three Stanley Cup Playoff games with New York in 2020.
