Defenseman Justin Schultz was placed on injured reserve by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.
Schultz sustained a lower-body injury against the New York Rangers on Tuesday. He left the game in the first period, returned in the second but left again after playing three shifts.

The Penguins recalled defenseman Frank Corrado from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League. Corrado has no points and three shots on goal in three games with the Penguins this season, averaging 11:06 of ice time. He has five points (one goal, four assists) and is plus-4 in 12 AHL games.
