Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick likely won't start playing again until early March at the earliest, general manager Dean Lombardi told LAKingsInsider.com on Tuesday.
Quick hasn't played since injuring his groin in the first period of the season opener against the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 12. Lombardi said Quick has yet to resume skating. Quick played an NHL-high 68 games last season and was a Vezina Trophy finalist after going 40-23-5 with a 2.22 goals-against average, .918 save percentage and five shutouts.
