Kraken troll other NHL teams with expansion draft looming

You could say the Seattle Kraken are looming just beneath the surface, ready to strike.

With the
2021 NHL Expansion Draft coming July 21
, the newest team on the block has begun to make its presence felt by announcing that they are ready to start snapping up players from other teams.
This is a fact that the Kraken have not shied way from on social media.

After the Columbus Blue Jackets held a poem contest on Twitter, the Kraken jumped in on the action.

The Blue Jackets pleaded, but it likely won't get them anywhere.

Other teams tried to run and hide, but the Kraken found them.

The Pittsburgh Penguins used a popular Tik Tok meme to convey their feelings, but it only drew laughter, not sympathy, from the Kraken.

The New Jersey Devils went the insult route.

It also did not seem to work.
The 2021 NHL Expansion Draft will take place on
Wednesday, July 21 at 8 p.m ET
. It will be televised on ESPN2 in the United States and SN NOW in Canada.
