Kraken unveil inaugural season 'sea to sky' jersey patch

Design inspired by Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, will be worn by Seattle players

The Seattle Kraken's first jersey patch is a scenic homage to the Pacific Northwest, complete with inspiration from the top of Mount Rainier to the depths of Puget Sound.

Unveiled on Thursday, the patch will be on every authentic Adidas jersey sold at Kraken stores and sold separately. Kraken players will wear the same patch on the right front shoulder of their jerseys during Seattle's inaugural season.

"One of our brand design tenets is sea to sky," Drew Hamlet, Kraken art director told
Seattle's team website
. "We wanted to reflect the concept. Not only that the Kraken lives in Puget Sound but throughout the Pacific Northwest."
This is just another one of finishing touches that reminds us the season is right around the corner. Seattle will play its first preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks on Sept. 25, and its first regular season game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 12.
