Is it better to take a drink out of the Stanley Cup, or take a bite out of it?
If we're talking about the replica cake made by the Wynn Las Vegas resort, we'd probably choose the bite.
The resort's master chocolatier, Jonathan Whitney, and pastry chef, Jose Virgen, teamed up to create an incredible replica of the Cup to help celebrate the hometown Vegas Golden Knights' championship.
It's a sweet victory for our hometown boys, @GoldenKnights! The cake is made out of 58 pounds of chocolate -- almost 25 pounds more than the amount of metal in the actual Stanley Cup (which weighs in at 34.5 pounds).
There is an unbelievable amount of detail on the cake. It includes the Golden Knights logo on the front, two hockey sticks crossed in front of the cake and various engravings across the entire base.
And as the cherry on top -- almost literally -- the top of the cake is filled with hockey pucks which also have the Golden Knights logo printed on them.
According to the Twitter thread, the cake took 80 hours to produce, and the process began on Tuesday, the day Vegas clinched the title.
We can't think of a more delicious trophy out there at the moment.
