Lightning's Bishop sidelined day-to-day: report

PITTSBURGH --Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman told the Tampa Bay Times on Saturday.
Bishop left Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Consol Energy Center on a stretcher with 7:35 remaining in the first period after falling awkwardly while scrambling to get into his crease.

Andrei Vasilevskiy relieved Bishop and made 25 saves in a 3-1 win. Vasilevskiy likely will start Game 2 here on Monday (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports).
"I feel really bad saying all this, but everyone's indefinite until they're told they can play," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said Saturday. "Everything's been really good so far on Ben, much better news than the scene we saw what happened when he was carted off. As far as his playing status, I have no answer or no update for that yet."

Bishop is a finalist for the Vezina Trophy after going 35-21-4 with a 2.06 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage in the regular season. He is 8-2 with a 1.86 GAA and a .939 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Vasilevskiy, 21, made 16 saves in the third period Friday to help the Lightning take a 1-0 lead in this best-of-7 series. He was 11-10-0 with a 2.76 GAA and a .910 save percentage in 24 regular-season games.
"Nobody wanted to see his happen to Ben at all, but there was a calm among everybody that, 'Hey, we can do this,'" Cooper said. "There's complete confidence in Vasilevskiy in the sense that I think the guys weren't wavering. If there was a concern, it was about Ben's health. It was never about, 'Oh my gosh, this game's in doubt.' I think that's a big reason why we pushed forward where we are right now."
