Labanc tied it 1-1 at 13:02 with a slap shot from the slot, but Phillip Danault put Los Angeles ahead 2-1 at 17:54 on a power play, scoring from the top of the left circle.
"I thought our first period got better as it went on, and then they got the power play," Sharks coach David Quinn said. "Listen, that's a good team. They're hard, they're quick. At times we matched them, and at times we didn't."
Arvidsson extended the lead to 3-1 at 4:39 of the second period. Reimer thought he had stopped Arvidsson's shot with his knees, but the puck trickled in five-hole.
"It's unfortunate that my performance wasn't up to par tonight," Reimer said. "It's too bad. I thought we played hard tonight. Just couldn't find a way to get some points."
Barabanov cut it to 3-2 at 19:23 when he redirected the puck past Quick after a giveaway by Durzi.
Rasmus Kupari made it 4-2 at 2:51 of the third period when his shot beat Reimer five-hole.
Anze Kopitar scored into an empty net at 17:32 for the 5-2 final.
"There were good elements to our game," Quinn said. "But we're not here to just put together some pieces of a hockey game and feel good about it. We've got to win hockey games."
