Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar (upper body) won't play. He left the the Kings' 2-1 loss at the Ottawa Senators on Friday with 4:34 remaining. Kopitar has two goals in 15 games this season. Goalie Peter Budaj will start after Jeff Zatkoff also left the game against the Senators "[He] pulled himself after the second period," coach Darryl Sutter said. "I don't know what it is." Zatkoff's injury is to his lower body, the Los Angeles Times reported. Budaj is 7-5-0 with a 2.08 goals-against average and .912 save percentage after starting the season in the American Hockey League.

Jets team scope

Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele, whose 20 points (10 goals, 10 assists) lead the NHL, has five goals and six assists during a five-game point streak. Forward Nikolaj Ehlers, who has 10 points (two goals and eight assists) in his past five games, put the puck into the Jets net to give the Colorado Avalanche a 3-2 win in overtime Friday. "I thought I had two guys right by me," Ehlers said. "I just tried to throw it in the middle and get those two guys going. Obviously, we could have had two points tonight as well, but three out of four on the road is great." The Jets return home after going 1-0-1 on a two-game trip. Rookie forward Patrik Laine's 11 goals lead the League. Defenseman Dustin Byfuglien hasn't scored in 16 games this season.

Myers left Winnipeg's 3-2 loss to Colorado on Friday late in the second period with a lower-body injury. His status for Sunday is unknown. … The Jets placed Perreault on injured reserve and called up Howden from Manitoba of the AHL. … The Kings recalled Campbell from Ontario of the AHL on an emergency basis Saturday. He's expected to back up Budaj.
