Bunting split

Who better to learn bunting from than someone named Bunting?

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Michael Bunting put together a little instructional video on how to lay down the perfect baseball bunt in honor of the Toronto Blue Jays opener.
He called it "Bunting with Bunting."

The aptly-named left-handed bat got it all right. Bottom hand near thew bat knob, slide the top hand up the barrell and control the bat and wait for the ball, don't jab at it.
After the detailed explanation, Bunting executed one in real time.
The Blue Jays, for their part, loved it, calling the video "a home run."

The video is so good we are going to overlook that Bunting is using what appears to be a metal softball bat instead of a wooden baseball one.
Bonus points to Auston Matthews, who apparently was the voice you hear yelling "out at first!" in the background of the video.
"I hope this helped, but if not watch the pros," Bunting says at the end of the clip. "The Blue Jays start their season tonight. Good luck Jays!"
