Whoa, Canada. You've never heard the Canadian National Anthem quite like this.
The Sole Power Gospel Choir of Toronto teamed up with Toronto Maple Leafs anthem singer Martina Ortiz-Luis for what is undoubtedly one of the most stirring renditions of 'O Canada' ever performed. The duet was a special appearance as part of the Maple Leafs Martin Luther King Jr. Day commemoration. Monday was also the anniversary of the date that Willie O'Ree became the first Black player in NHL history. The goose bump-inducing version of the anthem was performed virtually due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. Let's hope someone was recording on that version and the Maple Leafs play it again soon.
