Fleury close to returning to practice with Golden Knights

LAS VEGAS-- Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is doing well in his recovery from a concussion and should be returning to practice soon, coach Gerard Gallant said Monday.
"I think it's days," Gallant said. "Not this week, but I think he's getting better every day."
Fleury was concussed against the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 13 and placed on injured reserve Oct. 15. He's 3-1-0 with a 2.48 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in four games.

Gallant said once Fleury is cleared for practice it could take 4-5 days for him to return to game action.
"We don't expect it to be long-term," Gallant said.

Oscar Dansk is expected to be the third goaltender to start for the Golden Knights this season when they play the Chicago Blackhawks at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday (10 p.m. ET; ATTSN-RM, NBCSCH, NHL.TV).
Malcolm Subban started two games after Fleury was injured, and helped Vegas defeat the Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins. But he sustained a lower-body injury during the third period of a 3-2 overtime win against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday and is expected to be out four weeks.
Dansk replaced Subban against the Blues, and in his first NHL game made 10 saves on 11 shots in 13:46 of ice time.
Vegas recalled Maxime Lagace from Chicago of the American Hockey League on Sunday to back up Dansk.
