NEW YORK -- San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for dangerous use of the stick involving Ottawa Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson during NHL Game No. 441 in Ottawa on Wednesday, Dec. 14, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
